Al Bandar Hotel at Shangri La Oman

The name Al Bandar means ‘The Town’ and the architecture of the Al Bandar hotel is inspired by old Muscat, featuring buildings of varying heights and a variety of ornate balconies. Shangri La Oman – Great for Kids

Children’s facilities at the Shangri La Oman are superb. The Little Turtle’s Kid’s Club located in the Al Waha Hotel provides both air conditioned/indoor and outdoor play areas, both under trained supervision. Children up to 8 yrs old are welcome but those under 4 yrs old should be accompanied by a parent or guardian. The ‘Adventure Zone’ is an exciting family entertainment venue located in the Al Mazaar souk adjacent to the ‘Omani Heritage Village’ and is open daily from 10am to 10pm offering a variety of play areas, a climbing wall, camping pods, soft play areas and daily Nintendo Wii Sports challenges. Other children’s activities include treasure hunts, henna painting, the Sand City Competition and Arabian arts and crafts. Oops did we forget to mention the kids Crazy River ride at the Al Waha Hotel ?

Located  in the south east of the Arabian Peninsula, Oman is bordered by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to the west, Yemen to the southwest and the United Arab Emirates (UAE) to the northwest.

Important Oman Visa Information

Valid passports and visas are required upon entry, except for nationals of Gulf Cooperation Council member states (Bahrain, Kuwait, Oman, Qatar, United Arab Emirates and Saudi Arabia). Visas can be obtained from any Omani Embassy or Consulate abroad. Visitors from most European and North American countries can obtain a visa upon arrival at Muscat International Airport, at a cost of 20 rials. Please be sure your passports are valied with over 6 months of the unexpired term to run. Check with your passport office.
