Los Lomas 4 star apartments - rather shabby

La Manga resort is great, lovely outside facilities. Unfortunately the apartement are very tired and poorly equiped. Lots of things broken including the sofa and patio door. Light bulbs not replaced, kitchen equipment broken in places and tatty . Housekeeping was regular and the staff were friendly. The indoor pool was very cold.

Definitely not 4*!!

On arrival the customer service was chaotic and a real lack of knowledge of available facilities outside the village. The apartment itself was extremely dated, lots of items broken including the toaster and ironing board! It was very noisy with groups of lads/golfers - reception were initially unhelpful but rectified the ongoing problem with partying going on until 6am every and offered us a complimentary meal at an onsite restaurant called Luigi's - fantastic place and would happily pay for the food as it was 10/10! We would definitely stay at La Manga Club again although it's a little out of the way so a car is a good idea here but wouldn't stay in these apartments again.

A week in Las Lomas

Content
Comfortable & clean apartment. Staff friendly. Views from the apartment tremendous. Gym excellent. Restaurant staff good but food average and expensive, so we BBQ'd quite often. Indoor pool closed! Golf superb but very expensive. Shuttle bus service brilliant. Scuba diving excellent. Supermarket good.

Generally quite good

Overall, our stay at Los lomas were v good. Accommodation could do with with some modernisations. Washing machine/dish washer both leaked. Air condition also did not work in bedrooms. Our apartment location was fantastic and our views were beautiful

la manga

Great location for us as it was opposite the Spa. The shuttle bus worked well and the children really enjoyed the football. It is a shame there isn't a space where the children can just kick a ball around to practise what they learn in training bearing in mind it is such a huge complex. We felt a car was useful to get off tge complex. Apartment was very spacious and comfortable and early Easter a nice time to visit as it wasn't busy.

Las lomas.

A disappointing number of facilities open for young children at this time of year (October). The location of the las lomas village was also deeply impractical, despite the shuttle service. The apartment was well configured, however, our balcony didn't get direct sunlight at any point during the day, which is a fundamental flaw.

First went 1993 and each year for 17 years. Have not been for 4 years; the aura of the site not same - simply personal! Wife + friend still love it though!

Overall a great holiday if you allow for the extra spending you need for activities

Overall we had a great holiday. We are a family of 5 with 3 children of 7 and under. The shuttle was great taking us to and from las lomas to the tennis club where it was all happening. The restaurants we could not fault apart from them all being expensive. We was out of season, October so some of the facilities were not open. The outdoor pool was freezing so the kids and daddy were brave, mummy was not - a heated pool would be great. Saying that the indoor pool was great (did not like the charge for a swimming hat that must be worn). The tennis and football academy was VERY expensive especially when you have 3 children and the charge for the kids club for my 4 year old soon mounted up!! We spent a lot more money than we accounted for. Will we go back? yes maybe in a few years.

Tired, it really needs an update

These apparments are tired. They may have been 4* at some point, but they certainly aren't any more. They're tired and need a upgrade, mostly in the kitchens. Ours was falling apart, we got a broken and rusty corkscrew (thanks for that health hazard!) a fridge with all the door shelves broken off, and an ancient coffee perculator machine thing that was at least 20 years old. We also got about 2 plates, a couple of cups and a wine glass. It's either self catering or it isn't... if it is, put the facilities in place. If it isn't make that clear and get rid of the dirty old crockery. We had to be moved apparments as our safe was broken, the phone didn't work, and our air conditioner developed a leak which dripped next to my head 24hrs a day. We went to reception to report this straight away, nothing except a large bucket arriving was done, so we went back again the next day, nothing, and on the 3rd day we were finally moved apartments (on a 1 week holiday, what a waste). The new safe worked, the air con worked, but it had another faulty phone and another woeful kitchen. I probably wouldn't bother going back to stay at the Los Lomas apparments, which is a shame as I have been going to la manga for 18 years and wanted to like it.

A great week at La Manga

Our apartment was great but only had 2 bowls and 2 big plates, and 1 side plate, so had to keep putting dish washer on!!! 4 of each size plate would have been great, also a salad bowl and more importantly a couple of teatowels!!!
